Yeah. It seems so. Apparently meiri displays a post where nami didn't say "meiri" so it does seem a little inconsistent, but it could be because of the link having it. (i'm not mentioning which post since there's only two that show up when looking up "meiri")

just started playing the nomnomnami games after downloading ddlc (and not playing it lol) they're fun an cool and I could see why so many people would like them. HOWEVER the wiki is unfinished and lacks information on some of the games that have been existing for a while now such as contract demon and her tears were my light. To my knowledge the only pages that are completed (albeit partially) are syrup and the ultimate sweet, starry flowers, astra's garden, lonely wolf treat, and bad end theater. It would be rather nice if the wiki would have a bit more work put into it, I will also be trying to fill out the wiki (after I figure out how to actually edit the wiki) but it would be nice if some of the people here also attempted to update the wiki as well. Street Fighter games focus a lot of footsies and neutral, small combos heavier damage, more defensive play, focus on spacing with normal buttons whereas MvC puts emphasis on assists and movement, big combos, lower damage for individual hits, team synergy is at maximum importance, movements and combos and special inputs are simplified so you can learn multiple characters more easily

not really, in say, MvC 2, you throw out assists whenever you can, they cover movement, add to combos, but if you miss them your opponent can combo both at once, and swapping between characters and how you do that is extremely important, like how you work that into a combo

I think the issue is you're thinking in terms of literal technicalities, which isn't really how genre names work like you can play a role in a lot of games but that doesn't make it a role playing game because an RPG game is one that takes large influence from tabletop roots, like DnD in the same way, a 2d fighter is one that takes the basic framework of Street Fighter 2 (or arguably Street Fighter 1, only because of Fatal Fury) and builds on that

nothing too complex, finds the first word in a name, splits it in half, picks the first half of the first and the latter half of the second and combines the two. does the same for 3 but the center as thirds and puts the third in the center
